MANAGEMENT OF ROLA-MOÇA MOUNTAINS STATE PARK

 

This park is under the management of the State Forestry Institute (IEF), an agency linked to the Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development of the State of Minas Gerais. IEF is responsible for the State's forest development policy, for the protection of fauna and flora, for the sustainable use of renewable natural components, for fishing, and for stimulating research related to biological wealth and diversity. The creation and management of protected areas, among them the State Parks, stand out among the functions of IEF.

The Sanitation Company of Minas Gerais State – COPASA, co-manages this park together with IEF, and is responsible for the administration and inspection of the five areas of protection of springs and water catchment for human supply, present here.
